Guitar auto-swell pedal
I’m building a guitar volume swell pedal with a friend of mine. The idea for the project is his. It’s a first audio electronics project for me and a chance at a fun collaboration.
The pedal will have a fully analog audio path, a microcontroller for note detection and auto-swell following an ADSR curve that is applied to a voltage controlled amplifier (VCA). Roughly this:
- 9 volt battery as a power source
- TS072 for the op-amps (pre-amp and bias)
- LM13700 for the VCA
- ESP32 for the microcontroller (it includes a 12-bit ADC and an 8-bit DAC)
